We are developing dual-junction thin-film tandem solar cells using low-cost polycrystalline halide perovskites (e.g., CH3NH3PbI3) for both top and bottom cells. Halide perovskites have demonstrated exceptional progress in PV cell performance—from 3.8% in 2009 to a certified 22% in 2016.
